How to use Office Protection and Rights Management?

Protect Word documents, Excel worksheets and PowerPoint Presentation With Rights Management Service (RMS).

These days we talk alot about privacy terms and how the larger Companies meet demands from laws and not to mention us as customers, but what do we do ourself to protect Our data?

Take a look at these screenshots:

  • Mark as Final (Read Only)

Mark documents as Final makes them read only.

  • Encrypt With Password

Create a password for opening and editing Your document, workbook or presentation. Keep in mind, Microsoft doesn’t care for Your passwords, so be sure to remember Your passwords or keep them safely stored.

  • Restrict Editing

Restrict what should be allowed to edit inside Your document, workbook or presentation.

  • Restrict Permission to People

RMS lets ut restrict permission to certain Microsoft Accounts/LiveID and Office 365 Identities (wether Cloud or Synchronized). RMS can also use templates pre created for different purposes.

We can add digital signatures to establish authenticity, integrity, and non-repudiation for Our documents, workbooks and presentations. It is like a stamp of authentication, like federal documents are stamped.

  • Protect Current Worksheet

Protect Current Sheet feature, you can select password protection and allow or disallow other users to select, format, insert, delete, sort or edit areas of the worksheet.

  • Protect Workbook

With Protect Workbook Structure feature, you can select password protection and select options to prevent users from changing, moving, deleting important data.
