MCSA Office 365 is a great certification for all services included in Office 365 like Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, Active Directory, OneDrive for Biz and much more. So it is a welcoming surprise that MCSA Office 365 qualifies for MSCE and not only MSCA Server 2012.
Allthough it is a surprise, I believe it is a good Choice by Microsoft and continue their strategy towards Cloud and Mobile first.
